1. Nanosized powders  of refractory  compounds (nitrides, oxides, carbides, metals)  and  their homogeneous composites  for   modification  of  structures of  metals, polymers and   coatings, for  manufacture of high-temperature materials and cutting instruments, functional materials, J.Grabis

2. New technologies and equipment for recovery of chromium, nickel and copper from diluted solutions,  J.Līcis

3. Corrosion inhibitors  and  their compositions   for use in hot-water heating systems and cooling systems functioning with water or water- ethylene glycol solutions,  H.Krasts

4. Electro-  and chemicall deposition coatings of  the metal (Sn, Au, Ni-B, Fe-Ni, Co-W, Cu) and  composite  (metal-inorganic  compound) for modification of materials, I.Vītiņa

6. Ceramic specimens with high ionic conductivity (measurements of electrophysical properties are carried out in the Vilnius University) which can be applied as gas sensors or in lithium ion batteries,  A.Dindune
